HAALO
Hemat Afghan Agricultural and Livestock Organization (HAALO) is a Humanitarian, non- governmental, Non-Political, and Non-Profitable Afghan National Organization. HAALO was established on 4th September 2012 from the Ministry of Economy under registration number 2711 by a group of young talented and professional Afghans in Kandahar province of Afghanistan.
HAALO performs a wide range of agricultural and livestock development services aimed toward human wellbeing, and social welfare to bring a positive change in the country. HAALO works towards building sustainable community developments, improving Health, Social Services, Entrepreneurship, Disaster Relief, and Advocacy. HAALO’s principle mandate is to design, implement, and evaluate a multi-component evidence-based health, Environment, and human rights research, social protection, gender mainstreaming, and intervention projects that improve individuals' and target communities' health and socio-economic status. HAALO is established to work in the fields of agriculture and livestock, Education, basic health care, gender, women empowerment, capacity building, and sanitation, income generating activities and rehabilitation as well as emergency operations like food and cash distributions, targeting the most vulnerable Afghan people. In this regard, HAALO has implemented different projects in many provinces of Afghanistan. The organization focuses on agricultural and livestock development, aiming to improve the livelihoods of rural communities by enhancing their farm productivity and promoting sustainable farming practices.
HAALO works on various agriculture-related projects, including training programs for farmers, distribution of agricultural inputs, and establishment of demonstration farms to showcase modern farming techniques. The organization also provides support for livestock rearing, such as animal health services, vaccination campaigns, and training on improved animal husbandry practices. In addition to its direct interventions, HAALO also engages in advocacy and awareness-raising activities to promote the importance of agriculture and livestock in Afghanistan's rural economy. The organization collaborates with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve its objectives and contribute to the overall development of the agricultural sector in the country.
